The Nutrition Innovation Lab team worked in Egypt from 2015-2016. The team examined both obesity and stunting in Egypt, as both are common and increasing in prevalence. Unlike many countries, obesity and stunting cut across socioeconomic groups and affect individuals regardless of wealth and education.
The Nutrition Innovation Lab planned to conduct 3 major activities for this study:
- Literature review
- Secondary data analysis
- Primary data collection for mycotoxin exposure and environmental enteropathy
