7th Scientific Symposium in Nepal

Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Nutrition hosted the 7th Annual Scientific Symposium was held on December 10-12, 2019 at Hotel Yak and Yeti, Kathmandu, Nepal. 

Over the past six years, these agriculture-nutrition symposia have attracted national and international academics and other stakeholders who are either interested in or are conducting research on the agriculture–nutrition pathways for application to programs and policies. The annual symposia, primarily supported by USAID has been a forum for Nepali and other regional and international scientists to present research on this pathway, engage in workshops and, to network and interact with peers across many sectors and disciplines. The event attracts academics, practitioners, policymakers, and students.

The three-day event featured:

  1. Scientific sessions on that focus on agriculture-nutrition pathways 
  2. Keynote talks
  3. Interdisciplinary panel discussions 
  4. Workshops
  5. Opportunities for networking
