Scientific Symposium in Bangladesh

The Feed the Future Innovation Labs for Nutrition and Horticulture hosted a Scientific Symposium on Agriculture to Nutrition Pathways and Technology Expo held on December 3-4, 2019 at Hotel Lakeshore, Dhaka, Bangladesh. 

The symposium, supported by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), aimed to provide a forum to Bangladeshi and other regional and international researchers, scientists, implementers and students to present, share, understand and adopt concrete evidence on factors along with the agriculture to nutrition pathways. The symposium also included a dissemination event of empirical findings from the Nutrition Innovation Lab’s research activities in understanding the potential for aquaculture and horticulture investments to transform nutrition within Bangladeshi households and assess the potential for programs that are co-located to maximize benefits.

7th Annual Scientific Symposium in Nepal

Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Nutrition hosted the 7th Annual Scientific Symposium held on December 10-12, 2019 at Hotel Yak and Yeti, Kathmandu, Nepal. 

Over the past six years these agriculture-nutrition symposia have attracted national and international academics and other stakeholders who are either interested in or are conducting research on the agriculture–nutrition pathways for application to programs and policies. The annual symposia, primarily supported by USAID has been a forum for Nepali and other regional and international scientists to present research on this pathway, engage in workshops and, to network and interact with peers across many sectors and disciplines. The event attracted academics, practitioners, policymakers, and students.
