Baseline Summary Report 1st Annual Survey 2021: Comprehensive Evaluation of the Community Health and Nutrition (CHN) Program

A baseline (Panel 1) survey, part of a prospective cross-sectional evaluation, was conducted between September-November 2021, to capture data and information in establishing the prevailing situation in the three CHN-targeted governorates of Amman, Karak, and Zarqa on maternal, infant, and young child nutrition, and the status of PLW and service providers (SP). Two separate quantitative surveys were implemented.

Assessing the Relationship of Aflatoxin Exposure and Stunting in Children 6-59 Months of Age in 10 Districts of Nampula Province, Mozambique

The aim of this study was to enumerate the serum aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) in children 6-59 months of age, and estimate its association with linear growth in these children. To accomplish this aim, the team conducted a cross-sectional study that focused on understanding the extent and level of aflatoxin exposure as measured through presence in a serum sample from children. Food Systems and Nutrition E-Consultation: Emerging Evidence Research Opportunities

The USAID Bureau for Food Security (BFS) has prioritized a need to synthesize research findings in agriculture, food systems, and nutrition, to identify where evidence exists and where there are knowledge gaps. This information will help drive future research on how to reshape food systems to improve health and nutrition, and will enhance programming to meet U.S. Government objectives and the global Sustainable Development Goals.

Malawian Food Composition Table 2019

This first edition of the Malawian Food Composition Table will benefit all nutrition and allied stakeholders, including the private sector, in generating nutritious diets from locally-available foods. It will also provide a platform for continued research and analysis of other local foods not yet included in this edition, thereby contributing to improved nutritional status and health of the citizens of Malawi, who would effectively contribute to the economic growth and development of the country

PoSHAN Community Studies: Panel 3 Report

The goal of PoSHAN Community Studies is to understand the factors that link agriculture to nutrition. This involves researching the determinants of household food security, dietary intake, and nutritional status of children under 5 years of age and their mothers in relation to changes in agriculture and exposure to agricultural and microeconomic extension, as well as nutrition and health programs in Nepal. This descriptive report summarizes the main findings of the third panel survey.
